Work Experience
Senior Software Engineer 2018 - 2024
Thales Group, Williamsburg, VA, USA
I began as a Software Developer and transitioned to Software Engineer and then to Senior Software
Engineer. My team was given a lot
of autonomy and trust to design, implement and test independently. We encountered projects
requiring different platforms and languages and
use cases. Small teams are nimble and we were able to do turnarounds and follow-ons accurately and
quickly. I learned what a difference a good supervisor can make.

Engineer Systems Modeling Simulation I 2003 - 2018
Huntington Ingalls Industries - Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, VA
I began as a Test Electrician on the waterfront and then was accepted into the Apprentice School as an
Electrician. I was then selected into an advanced pilot program for Modeling and Simulation Analyst. My
path
and
positions included opportunities to work with many different personalities. Ironically, that is how I
learned more about myself.
Working at the shipyard was an amazing adventure and I will always be grateful for the experience.
